Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings
Crispy chicken wings stir-fried with sweet and spicy sauces. A perfect finger food and super easy to make.
Ingredients
- For Marination
- Chicken wings - 5-6
- Ginger Garlic paste - 2 tsp
- Soya Sauce - 1 tsp
- Black pepper Powder - 1/4 tsp
- Egg - 1
- Corn flour - 4 tsp
- Salt
- For Stir frying
- Garlic - 3 tbsp ( finely chopped )
- Green chilly - 2 ( finely chopped )
- Schezwan sauce - 2 tsp
- Red chilly sauce - 2 tsp
- Tomato sauce - 2 tsp
- Soya sauce - 1 tsp
- Spring onion greens - for garnish
Instructions
Wash and clean the chicken wings and pat them dry with kitchen towel.
Cut the tip portion on the wing and discard it.
Then cut them at the joint and separate the two pieces (If you don’t like the skin on the chicken you may trim it off.)
For Marination
Marinate the chicken wings using salt, pepper, soya sauce, ginger garlic paste and egg. ( The egg needs to be adjusted so that the marination isn’t too runny ).
Then add corn flour to it and mix well to coat each piece.
Heat oil in a deep frying pan and deep fry the chicken wings until they are golden brown and crispy. Keep them aside.
For stir frying
In a wok add 2 tsp oil, add finely chopped garlic and green chilly.
When the garlic turns slightly brown and the raw flavour disappears ( do not burn the garlic) add soya sauce, schezwan sauce, red chilly sauce and tomato sauce and sauté for a minute.
Since so many sauces are added adjust the seasoning accordingly.
Garnish with spring onion greens and serve hot.
